Punjabi Singer Amrinder Gill to give live performance in Aryans on 8th April

Noted Punjabi singer and film artist Amrinder Gill will visit the Aryans campus which is situated on Chandigarh-Patiala highway for promoting his upcoming flick ‘Daddy Cool Mundey Fool’ on 8th April.

Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, said that the star cast of the film including Harish Verma, Jaswinder Bhalla, Yuvika Chaudhary, Ihana Dhillon , Jassi Gill, Prabh Gill, Upasna Singh, Raja Bath and Babbal Rai will also visit be the part of the Promotional event. Gill will entertain the students at the campus with a live performance for which he will be accompanied by other Punjabi singers.

Several renowned artistes have visited the 20-acre campus of the Aryans Group from the film and music industry. The campus is often visited to carry out shooting for music videos and movies. Two songs ‘Boliyan’ and ‘Ghaint Jattian’ by Rupinder Handa, first winner of Awaaz Punjab Di, Saheli, song by famous Punjabi singer Debi Makhsoospuri were shot at the Aryans campus, Prof A.P. Jain from the group stated.

Another noted Punjabi celebrity to visit the campus was Miss Pooja, who was at the campus to promote her film ‘Pooja Kiven aa’ and gave a live performance. Punjabi singer Azzi Aish was another singer who had come down to the campus to give a live performance. Also movies like ‘Saadi Gali Aaya Karo’ and ‘Saadi Love Story’ were also promoted at the Aryans campus by its star cast.

The movie has been directed by Simerjit Singh. Daddy Cool Munde Fool is a comical satire which unfolds the story of a Punjabi family presently living a prestigious life in Punjab. The story revolves around a widower Parminder Singh Puppy and his two irresponsible and notorious sons Gunny and Money. Parminder Singh Puppy is worried about the Future of his careless and spoilt sons.

The confusion starts when Parminder Singh Puppy"s friend makes proposal for Gunny and Moneys marriage to Rinki and Minki, daughters of Dilraaj Kaur Dil (Widow), who interestingly comes out to be Parminder Singh Puppy"s college life love. A Team of Aryans Group of Colleges is back from an Educational trip from Malaysia. The team visited few Educational Institutes of Malaysia. The Team visited Malaysia under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Anshu Kataria. Aryans team visited a number of Educational Institutes. The team worked out with various possibilities of collaborations, students exchange programs and technical knowhow.

Earlier also they made an educational trip in different countries like Singapore, Dubai, Hongkong and China etc. Dr. Anshu Kataria after returning from Malaysia said that Education in Malaysia is a skill based Education that equips a student to start his career at younger age.

The team in Malaysia visited the Flamingo International College at Kuala Lumpur to find out the difference between their teaching and learning pattern and the pattern we follow in India. They learnt about the curriculum and the courses being offered to students in Malaysia. Dr Kataria has believed that adding some of the aspects taken from foreign universities into our institute can make a notable difference in the way students at Aryans get educated.

It is to be mentioned that in last few years, Aryans team had visited many B Schools of South East Asia, Middle East including IMT and SP Jain Business School, Dubai; SASIN Business School, Bangkok; SP Jain Business School, Singapore; Hong Kong etc. The team has also visited some SAARC countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, etc in the recent years.

Dr. Kataria added that Aryans Group of Colleges have already entered into a number of Tie-ups/Collaborations with Foreign Institutions such as Outline System (USA); LSME (London School Of Management Education, London); Fontys University (Netherland); AUPP (Australian Unified Pathway Program, Australia), Institute of Technology Blanchard town (ITB), Dublin (Ireland) etc., and an international membership of AACSB (Association To Advance Collegiate School Of Business, USA).

The week-long tour proved helpful for our team and Dr Kataria added that such efforts to compose the teaching and learning process better at Aryans will be a regular feature of the institute.

14 Lakh students take up IIT JEE (Main)

14 lakh students take up IIT JEE (Main)

India witnessed a record 14 lakh examinees taking up the Joint Engineering Entrance Main exam and what makes it significant is the change of JEE (Main) format for the first time. 

According to Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Institution, stated that the JEE (Main) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education was attempted by 11.5 lakh candidates last year and this was the last edition of JEE (Main) conducted in 2011. 

The advanced exam will be taken up by the top 1.5 lakh candidates, who make it to the merit list among the 14 lakh examinees. This acts as the gateway for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), IIT BHU and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

According to Dr Kataria, all metros saw the offline exam taking place today, and there are four dates given for the computer-based exam to take place. These dates are April 9, 22, 23 and 25, the first day being tomorrow.

This year the JEE (Main) is being held for admissions to BE/B.Tech courses at National Institutes of technology, Delhi technological University and other Central Government-funded technical institutions. 

On Sunday the exam was conducted in the offline mode and online will happen starting from tomorrow.

There will be one objective type question paper for the JEE (Main)-2013 (paper I of earlier AIEEE). Subjects covered in the three-hour paper will be physics, chemistry and mathematics. 

About 40 per cent weightage will be carried by this year's JEE (Main) merit list and this is suitably normalized to Class 12 or other qualifying exam marks and 60 per cent to performance in the entrance exam.

Before downloading the admit card for the online format, the CBSE had asked the candidates to fill in their roll numbers of class XII exams online. 

But Sunday saw students getting their proof of Class XII to the exam hall today as there were many discrepancies seen when students filled their roll numbers online. 

Mark sheet of the Class XII was carried to the exam hall by students who appeared for class XII. For those who appeared for class XII exams in 2011 and 2012, but had enrolled for improvement exam in all subjects in 2013, had to take along their admit card given for the improvement exam. 

All others were asked to carry their hall tickets given for that exam.

It was all about how will the exams be for students who appeared for the exam today. Satpinder Singh, a student of Aryans stated that there were several students as every year to attempt the exam but the strength was definitely lesser than the last year as this year the exam has two options to be appeared in, offline and the online mode.

"There was excitement, hope, nervousness and anxiety in the air as the students stepped out of the exam centers and what haunts us now is the result," said Maninder Singh, another student of Aryans, who attempted the exam today.
