How much is Sergio Aguero to Going to Cost?

How much is Sergio Aguero to Going to Cost?

The fight is still on and still hot for the Atletico Madrid’s star striker Sergio Aguero. Chelsea, the currently top rated club in the EPL, is in the race too. The deal between the related parties is inching towards a conclusion following the suspension of the transfer ban imposed on the English club by FIFA. News is that they all agree that it will be best if the transfer takes place in January rather than in summer.

"There are a few things left to talk about and we are looking forward to it. There are still many complications involved and there are equal chances of the transfer happening or not," a source revealed to the ESPN Soccernet.

More news is that the striker in question, Aguero has secretly agreed to go in for the deal and claim a whooping pay, which is close to nearly £250,000-a-week. The transfer fee will go past the British record of £32.5m offered for Robinho by quite some distance.

Giving a few more details about the money involved in the transfer, £100 million includes Aguero’s salary and the £40 million transfer plus near-£10m add-ons related to Chelsea’s success, meaning a near £50 million transfer fee, with added agents’ fees.

What complicates the deal is that los Colchoneros are demanding more for the player. The Spanish side was asking for up to £60 million during the summer, but has now lowered its demand to nearly £55m.

Among all this ‘deal or no-deal’ situation, only a few must be there who would not have noted the fact that during their encounter in the UEFA Champions League, it was Aguero scored both goals for Atletico Madrid, ending the game with Chelsea to a 2-2 draw. The match was held on November 3. Clearly, the star striker is beginning to find some form again.

Since the ban on Chelsea is suspending but still pending, the January transfer is a very crucial time for the club. It is very clear that they want to sign off some big names during the time when most clubs go for small transfers and wait for the summer bids to arrive. So, it is a known fact Roman Abramovich will not want to take any risk by waiting for the season to end.

Chelsea is looking forward to sign Aguero for a period of six years. Since five years is the period for a normal long-term deal, but considering Aguero’s 21 years, they will definitely think about stretching it to six years or even more, though the final years could be made optional.

Also, though Chelsea might pay the striker a good £6 million-a-year initially, it is assumed that the amount quickly will rise to £10 million. Estimates are that it will climb the ladder furthermore in the final year of the deal.

Manchester City is the only club at present that can compete with Chelsea for the deal, but sources reveal that Aguero might just not be interested in going there. Also, keeping in mind what happened with Kaka, there are doubts about the other club’s seriousness regarding the deal.

Chelsea also wants to sign Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery. He could also get a similar deal if Chelsea is looking to go forward with it. They would want to make these deals because there is a strong probability that the club might lose both Drogba and Kalou to the African.
