How to participate at the Indian Idol TV Show
Indian Idol is an interactive reality
talent show. It is now being produced by Wizcraft
International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Its first season was aired in 2004. The
first winner of Indian idol season 1 was Abhijeet Sawant. Second seasons winner
was Sandeep Acharya. Prashant
Tamang won the third season. For the first time in Indian Idol’s history, there
were two girls in top 3. Sourabhee
Debbarma won the title of the Indian Idol and became the first female
contestant to do so. By doing so, she also won a contract of Rs. 1 crore with
Sony Entertainment Television and a TATA Winger. She released an album Meherbaan as per a contract with Sony.
The winner of Indian Idol 5 was Sreeramchandra Mynampati from Hyderabad.
Now Sony has returned with season 6 of
Indian Idol. The auditions part began on 1st June 2012. Mini Mathur
and Hussain Kuwajerwala who have previously hosted the show will once again be
back to host Season 6 of Indian Idol. The judges for this season would be Anu
Malik, Sunidhi Chauhan and Salim Merchant. Asha Bhosle will join the judging
panel after the audition rounds. Anu Malik is judging Indian Idol since the
very first season. Sunidhi Chauhan and Salim Merchant have judged the previous
season also.
The first two episodes of auditions
went quite well. This time Indian Idol’s presenters went to cities where they
haven’t been before like Himachal Pradesh, Jaipur etc. We got to see two teens (a 16 year old girl
and a 17 year old boy) who sang really well and cleared the auditions round. We
also saw some people who think that they sing well but they make fools out of
themselves only. Looking forward to have great singers and good talent this
season.
